Benno Hartmann-Walk

lives in his home town of Warendorf in the Münsterland region since 1988 as a carpenter’s journeyman. He took over the business of his father, a wheelmaker and car body builder (keyword: “From the carriage to the caravan”) and worked until 1992 as a mold and model builder with the plastic processing.

In 1993, he began with the study f o”Building biology” at the Institute for Building Biology and Ecology in Neubeuern (IBN), now based in Rosenheim, and Anthroposophy. The training knowledge was implemented directly in practice.

Together with his wife, he opened the organic shop in Warendorf in 1994 and since then has been taking care of the supply of all basic biogas products for his customers. For ten years, he also worked as a craftsman on various construction sites and gained knowledge in old and new buildings.
In addition to many Baubiologie consultations and courses for future builders in ecologically oriented construction, he has been developing new studies on the subject of building biology for many years.

His special interest is in products such as the HarKun wall element or the development of rotor blades for wind power plants made of wood; Moreover interested in e.g. new environmentally conscious and sustainable possibilities in the area of ​​material connections with and from wood.
